Chorleywood Beaumont Volunteer of the Year winner

Warren Tranter, a much-loved volunteer at Chorleywood Beaumont in Rickmansworth, has been crowned Volunteer of the Year at the Barchester Care Awards 2026 South Division and has now progressed to the national finals.

The Barchester Care Awards celebrate individuals who go above and beyond to enhance the lives of the 14,000 residents living in Barchester Healthcare's 271 care homes and hospitals across the UK. The awards recognise outstanding dedication, compassion and commitment across a range of categories.

This year, almost 6,000 nominations were submitted from homes and hospitals nationwide, making the competition exceptionally strong. Warren's achievement is particularly remarkable as he was selected from hundreds of deserving nominees to receive the Volunteer of the Year award.

Warren has become an integral part of life at Chorleywood Beaumont, generously giving his time to support residents, participate in activities and bring companionship, warmth and positivity to the home. His selfless dedication has made a meaningful difference to both residents and colleagues alike, and his award is a testament to the impact he has made within the community.
