Carl Awadzi has been Media Sales Consultant for Johnston Press since September 2013. This is his second period with the company which produces the Gazette, as he originally joined in 2006 and left for the bright lights of London.

What is your favourite food?

Medium to well done Rib-Eye Steak from Gaucho.

What’s the most played song on your iPod?

I Got You - Duke Dumont. The track was a second number one hit for the British record producer – real name Adam Dyment – who is originally from Tring.

Favourite quote?

The future is for those who prepare for it today.

Favourite thing to do to relax?

Listen to music.

What is the one thing you hate the most?

Paperwork and amin.

If you could have 5 famous people for dinner – past or present – who would you pick and why?

David Beckham because he is an absolute legend.

Michael Jackson because even though he is dead I’m still fascinated by him.

Lady Gaga because I want to see whether she is really that weird.

Tiffany Thiessen – she played Kelly Kapowski in Saved by the Bell – because I always fancied her and still do.

And finally Kim Kardashian because I would love to meet her!

If you knew the world was ending in 2014, what would you do differently?

I would have taken more risks! You only live once.

If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be and why?

I would choose to see the release of Nelson Mandela from prison. It really would have been amazing to witness the euphoria and excitement of the South African people at that time.

What was the last film you watched?

Christmas with the Kranks – a 2004 American Christmas comedy film about a couple who decide to skip Christmas one year since their daughter is away , much to the chagrin of their neighbours. However the plans are changed around when their daughter phones them to tell them that she is coming home for Christmas.

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Flew to Egypt to meet friends. I’m terrified of flying.

What’s the best or worst gift you have ever given or received?

Worst gift received - My uncle bought me an Everton Shirt when I was younger. I’m a Liverpool Fan!

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a footballer when I was younger.

How would you like to be remembered?

As a great friend, smiley, and as someone who is always giving 100%.

What is your favourite thing to do or place to visit in Dacorum?

I love going to the Ashridge Estate. It always relaxes me.
