With charities facing several challenges in terms of fundraising and delivery of services during the pandemic, a business coaching practice in Tring is offering at least one local charity free guidance during 2021.

James Gentle, business coach and marketing specialist at ActionCOACH West Hertfordshire, is leading the search for a local charitable organisation.

At least one charity will be chosen as the recipient of gifted business coaching sessions to help achieve their operational and financial goals during 2021.

James said: “2020 was a difficult year to say the least. Many charities have really struggled to survive as typical fundraising events were cancelled and volunteers were blocked by COVID-19 restrictions.

"As we work through a third lockdown, this isn’t about taking things slowly, it’s about learning from the past year and tackling challenges with more vigour than before.

"We often forget that charities actually need to be run like any other businesses – they have their own operating costs that must be covered before surplus funds can be invested in serving those they aim to support.

“ActionCOACH is a community-based firm and we’re no strangers to fundraising – in the last year we’ve been involved in campaigns like DENs’ YOUR SLEEPOUT.

"But now is the time to do more, so I’m calling for local charities to get in touch if they would like to be considered as our partner for 2021.

"Business coaching will help you to become more effective when it comes to financial management, marketing, operational processes and bringing the people in your teams together.”

The team at ActionCOACH want to ensure that every business owner in West Hertfrordshire leads a happy and successful life through their business.

"Since the start of the pandemic, the team has helped some businesses respond to a huge increase in demand, whilst supporting others that have been forced to adapt to entirely different ways of working.

“There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the people we coach develop into confident leaders and successful teams.

"Right now, we’re looking for a local charity to make a difference in 2021 by using these same principles.

"Get in touch if you’d like your charity to be considered as part of our gifted coaching programme. We want to make this a great year for our community!”
