Care UK’s Eggleton House, on Miswell Lane, was declared officially open by Mayor of Tring Councillor Carol Nutkins and Mayor of Dacorum Councillor Garrick Stevens, who cut the ribbon.

Guests were treated to an afternoon to remember with entertainment from West End performer George Ritchie and harpist Jane Croucher, while Dave’s Caricatures helped to get everyone into the celebratory spirit with live drawings.

After touring the new home to see what life will be like at Eggleton House, visitors were treated to tasters of the delicious meals on the residents’ menu, specially prepared by the home’s talented head chef.

Councillor Carol Nutkins said: “It was an absolute honour to join in the celebrations at Eggleton House. Everything looks and feels amazing and you are ensured a warm welcome the instant you walk through the door.

It is a much-needed asset to our community and the whole team should be very proud of what they’ve achieved.”

Clare Hedge, Home Manager at Eggleton House, added: “Our grand launch party was a huge success and the perfect way to officially declare Eggleton House open.

“Our neighbours have been so warm and welcoming, and we loved meeting so many local people – we already feel like part of the community!

“We were delighted to be joined by our special guests and would like to extend a big thank you to councillors Carol Nutkins and Garrick Stevens. It truly was a day to remember, and we hope to welcome everyone again very soon for more fantastic events at Eggleton House.”

Designed to enable residents to lead active and fulfilling lives, while also promoting independence, Eggleton House incorporates plenty of space for leisure activities and hobbies. The layout of the building is configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
