Lines blocked after person is hit by a train near Milton Keynes
Trains are at a standstill in the Milton Keynes area on Tuesday morning after a person was hit by a train.
Operators London Northwestern Railway and Avanti West Coast are warning passengers making essential journeys to expect delays and short-notice cancellations on services between Northampton and London Euston.

Hide AdNetwork Rail confirmed: "A person has been hit by a train between Milton Keynes Central and Watford Junction resulting in all lines being blocked. As a result of this, trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised. This is expected until 14:30."
LNR tweeted:"There are delays cancellations to services due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Bletchley and Milton Keynes Central some.
"We have just been told about this incident. We will now work to understand how this will impact our passengers and provide our advice shortly."
London Northwestern later confirmed that road transport has been ordered to run between Northampton and Wellingborough to allow passengers to connect with East Midlands Railway services to an from London.
Services through Hemel Hempstead and Leighton Buzzard are also being affected by the disruption.
