West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been celebrating its fantastic staff with a range of socially distanced activities to show how valued they are.
In a letter Christine Allen, chief executive of West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "Despite the challenges of dealing with COVID-19, we have pressed on with our redevelopment plans; installed a new CT scanner at Watford General and St Albans City Hospital; updated our digital infrastructure; and relocated our phlebotomy services at Hemel Hospital so it is more accessible and improves the patient experience.

But of course, the pandemic has been traumatic and testing and it continues to demand every ounce of our effort and dedication.
"We have robust plans in place and we are ready for whatever COVID-19 throws our way!
"The support of our communities has been part of our response and we are deeply grateful to everyone who has stood by us in whatever way they could.

"You can continue to help us by observing ‘hands, face, space’ and by respecting our rules around not visiting our hospitals."
