Dumped building waste blocks village lane
Bricks, pallets and other building waste have been illegally dumped along a single track village lane.
The flytipped rubbish, which completely blocked the road for motorists, was discovered in Redbourn’s Little Revel End and was reported to officials at Herts County Council.
They visited the site to clear the mess yesterday (Thursday).
Ringway divisional manager Kevin Carrol, working on behalf of Herts County Council, said: “We would like to remind people who fly-tip that not only are they causing an unsightly nuisance for other residents and road users, they are also committing a criminal offence which could result in a £50,000 fine and/or imprisonment.”
