Isaac, who has his birthday on 14 May, will start the opening race at Brands placed fourth in the “Professional” standings of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB but leads the “Talent Pool” title race having finished fourth and seventh in the opening two races at Donington Park (18-19 Apr).

Competing in the 16-race, eight-event televised Porsche series marks a major step in Isaac’s racing career, switching from single-seaters due to financial restrictions to focus on his first year in GT racing.

Phelps began karting in 2020, netted outright wins and podiums, before finishing fifth in the 2024 Ginetta Junior Championship, the second-highest “Rookie” after eight overall podiums including three wins. He went on to win the Ginetta Junior Winter Series title following a double victory at Silverstone.

Isaac, who is managed by MBP, founded and led by former Formula One driver, Mark Blundell, became Vice-Champion in the single-seater GB4 Championship last year, scoring six podiums, including four wins, leading more laps and races than any other driver.

The youngster who is sponsored by Elite Transformations in Berkhamsted who offer fitness, health and mindset coaching, also claimed the highest number of pole-positions (six) of any driver on the GB4 grid, earning him the prestigious George Russell Pole Position Trophy prior to making his GB3 debut at Monza in the final event of the season.

Isaac commented: “2026 is about me developing my skills in the Porsche Carrera Cup. It’s definitely not a one year championship for me. I’m very happy with how we are looking at this early point but I want to win and achieve the best I can in every race.

“The opening Donington event was a tough start to the campaign but also a good learning point. My starts weren’t particularly good but I won’t make the same mistake again. I’ll now push to get some strong results and fight at the front of the grid. I’ll be pushing for a very strong result at the next event at Brands hatch. I have good history there.

“The main reason for not pursuing a career in single-seaters is that a large budget is required but contesting the Porsche series will ultimately generate more opportunities for me.

“Ginetta Juniors allowed me to learn skills in cars while last year in GB4 was fantastic, being able to show my pace consistently and fighting for wins.”
