Hemel Hempstead Probus Club – 'An Atlantic Odyssey'

Our next meeting is on Thursday, August 20 which will be held as usual at St Johns Church Hall, Station Road, Hemel Hempstead HP1 1JY.

On this occasion we will have a talk by Ian Worley, entitled 'An Atlantic Odyssey'. Prior to his adventures racing around the World, in 1968 Ian took his wife and then 6 month old daughter together with his younger sister on a voyage across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. This was an unusual adventure in those far off days, with just a sextant and a clock for navigation, no radio communications, and no mobile phone! 

Doors will open as usual at 10.00 am with coffee served, the meeting will start at 10.30 am and finish at around 12.00 noon.

Anyone is welcome to attend the monthly meetings and outings, whether as a Member or as a guest.
