The Global 100 awards are run by Global Publishing Media Group (GPMG). Recipients are chosen by an independent judging panel, with professional performance, the complexity of work undertaken, innovation and contribution to the sector among the assessment criteria.

Founded in Berkhamsted in 2006, Hanne Grice Pet Training & Behaviour moved to Tring in 2011. The latest award arrives as the business celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Hanne received a Dacorum business award early in the practice’s history. This year, the practice is one of four businesses selected to represent Dacorum at Ideas Fest 2026.

Hanne said: “When I started the business in Berkhamsted in 2006, I wanted owners to have clear, humane advice grounded in behavioural science. That remains the standard across every consultation, class and course. Being chosen to represent Dacorum at Ideas Fest is already a wonderful way to mark 20 years. Receiving a third Global 100 title is the icing on the cake.”

Hanne holds an MSc with Distinction in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training. She is an Animal Behaviour and Training Council Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist, a Certified Training Instructor and a Full Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors.

She has assessed Clinical Animal Behaviourists for the APBC and served for three and a half years on the Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC) Board of Trustees. In 2025, she received ABTC Honorary Individual Member status in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the animal behaviour and training sector.

Alongside her clinical practice, Hanne is an animal sciences lecturer at University Centre Bishop Burton. She teaches at master’s level in animal behaviour consulting, human and animal interactions and psychology, and animal behaviour and welfare. She also provides education for animal professionals and owners through the Hanne Grice Learning Hub.

During the past 20 years, Hanne has worked with several thousand clients and their dogs, cats and small animals. Her practice provides clinical behaviour consultations, training and education across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire, with virtual support available across the UK and internationally.

Other awards include the EE Chief’s Choice Award, two Silver awards at the Best Business Women Awards and titles from the Southern Enterprise Awards, LUXlife, Corporate LiveWire and Prestige Awards.

Hanne’s animal behaviour expertise has featured on BBC Breakfast, BBC One’s The One Show, BBC Radio 5 Live, Times Radio, talkSPORT and BBC Three Counties Radio.
