Gutsy Dacorum & Tring runners tackle 24-hour Spitfire Scramble race
The D&T runners competed in three relay teams of eight members, with each runner covering a 5.8-mile lap before handing over to a team-mate.
Each team had to have one runner on the course at all times, including hardy competitors who ran through the night.

Hide AdDacorum & Tring AC 2, captained by Lee Bryant, came third overall, completing 29 laps in a total time of 24:34:53.
Next home for the club was the D&T AC 3 team, led by Richard Belsey, who completed 26 laps in 24:08:28 to take 11th place, while Helen Reardon’s D&T 1 completed 25 laps in a time of 24:36:22 to finish 17th.
Jamie Marlow won the Power Lap challenge, putting in the fastest lap time to bag a pair of new trainers for each member of the D&T AC 2 team.
His Power Lap victory came only a few hours after he came first overall in the hilly Harrow Lodge Parkrun in a time of 18:45.

Hide AdMeanwhile, Giles Leather completed the Vitruvian, a half Ironman triathlon at Rutland Water in Leicestershire.
The race comprised a 1,900m swim, an 85km bike and a 21km run and Giles finished in a time of 6:01:41.
In other Parkrun news, five Dacorum & Tring AC members took part in the St Albans Parkrun over the weekend.
Chris Kitchener led the team home in 20:29, followed by twin first-timers Sam and Becky Fawcett in 20:55 and 21.44 respectively.
Sam Sullivan was just behind in 22.13 for first in the VW40-44 category, while 12-year old Indira Patel crossed the line in 22:53 to win in JW11-14 age group
