Cogger replaced former England U20 player Catherine Pugh with about 30 minutes to go and was immediately called into action in a scrum opposite one of the most capped England players, Rocky Clarke.

Other Worcester players from recent World Cup action included Ceri Large and Laura Keates.

The match, played at Sixways Stadium after the men’s match, ended up as an entertaining 24-24 draw.

Lichfield are at home on Sunday afternoon against Aylesford Bulls.
