Palliative care organisation for little ones in Herts, Beds and Milton Keynes Keech Hospice Care – which gets only 30% of its funding from the NHS – has received thousands of pounds in donations from the Text Santa telethon’s previous years.

The programme is set to return to ITV on Friday, December 19, and Together For Short Lives – country’s leading charity for children’s hospices , including Keech – has been chosen as one of six beneficiaries for the annual charity appeal.

Chief executive Mike Keel said: “We’re thrilled to be benefitting from this year’s Text Santa campaign through its partnership with Together for Short Lives. The funds raised will help us continue providing vital care and support to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families.”
