The previous van used to visit schools was so old that it attracted a £100 penalty every time it entered the low emission zone, but Affinity Water’s Community Engagement Programme set about identifying one of its retirement fleet vans that might suit the charity’s needs.

Paul Botje, Apsley Paper Trail general manager, said: “We are delighted that Affinity Water have been so impressed by our Recycle for Learning scheme and have made such a wonderful and generous contribution to its continuation.

“We look forward to a long association with them.”
