Woman taken to hospital after two vehicle collision in Hemel Hempstead

A woman has been taken to hospital after two vehicles were involved in a collision in Hemel Hempstead earlier today (Wednesday).

Police were called at around 10.40am following a road traffic collision involving two vehicles in Box Lane, Hemel Hempstead.

Officers, firefighters and the ambulance service are in attendance, and road closures have been put in place.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: "One person has been taken to hospital, but they are not believed to have been seriously injured at this time.

"Recovery has been requested for the vehicles."

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “An ambulance and rapid response vehicle attended a road traffic collision on Box Lane in Hemel Hempstead just after 11am today.

An adult woman was transported to Watford General Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called at 10.46 am to an incident on Box Lane. Two fire engines from Hemel Hempstead, one from St Albans and a Rescue Support unit from St Albans attended. Two vehicles were affected."
