Housing association celebrates 10 years at Maylands

The firm moved its main office from Queensway near the Hemel Hempstead Old Town to Maylands in December 2009 because the Association needed larger premises.

In the ten years since the move, the number of homes owned and managed by the charitable housing association has doubled from 3,300 to 6,600 homes in total and annual turnover has trebled.

Hightown’s chief executive, David Bogle, said: “Looking back, the move to larger, more modern offices in Maylands enabled us to grow our operations.

"But we could not have achieved so much without the hard work, loyalty and commitment of our staff for which I am most grateful

Hightown, which operates across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Berkshire, aims to build new affordable homes and provide high quality housing and support services. In addition to its social landlord work, Hightown provides care and support to vulnerable and disabled people in 85 projects.

Mr Bogle added: "We hope to continue our work in partnership with local authorities and other statutory authorities and deliver many more affordable homes and support services over the next ten years.”
