Hemel Hempstead Scouts thank all Scouting volunteers

As part of The Gazette's Big Thank You to those who have made a difference across Hemel Hempstead, Tring and Berkhamsted during the coronavirus pandemic, Hemel Hempstead Scouts got in touch and wanted to thank all the volunteers who have given up their time to help the Scouts over the last few months.

A spokesperson for Hemel Hempstead Scouts said: "We would like to thank all the Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer leaders - all volunteers giving up their time - that have switched to running sessions online instead of our usual face to face weeknight activities.

"This has allowed all of our 1,000 plus young people aged 5-17 in Hemel the opportunity to take part in something on Zoom each week as well as the virtual camps and activities, badges to do at home and all sorts of other amazing online activities."

If you would like to nominate an unsung hero, they could be anyone, a business that has gone the extra mile, key workers, the NHS or people who have a made difference in the community.
