Local businesses attended an interactive workshop recently at the Watermill Hotel in Hemel Hempstead to share their views on putting Hemel ‘on the map’ as an area to do business.

Led by the business community, Dacorum Borough Council facilitated the meeting to discover ways to help businesses thrive within the local economy by letting people know what we offer, what we do and how we do it.

The economic success of our area is beneficial to all of our businesses and communities and we want to give ourselves the best opportunity to build a successful future.

We are working with Thinking Place, who is a place specialist, to look at what we say, how we say it and how we can fulfil our promises by turning words into actions and most importantly how we can all contribute as a unit.

The event was a great opportunity for businesses to also share their views and aspirations for the area and discuss ways to unlock the value and potential of Hemel Hempstead by highlighting why it’s special, building on its assets and empowering the people that live and work here.
