New police boss elected

David Lloyd has been re-elected as Police And Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire.

The Conservative candidate, who won the first-ever PCC election in 2012, will continue to oversee policing across the county.

He defeated Labour candidate Kerry Pollard after second choice votes were counted in a run-off after none of the candidates managed to secure 50 per cent of the vote and the Lib Dem and UKIP candidates were eliminated.
