Fourth book for best-selling Tring author

Escape to the Riviera, the fourth book by best-selling author Jules Wake, is published by Avon and will be out on June 30.

The sun-soaked book follows the story of Carrie whose life is turned upside down when she bumps into A list superstar Richard Maddox in St Tropez.

Back in the day, Carrie enjoyed a whirlwind romance with Richard that ended in them tying the knot. However, as Richard’s career blossomed in Hollywood, their lives took separate paths.

Now, many years later, Carrie leads a settled life with the steady, solid and sensible Alan.

She’s happy enough, so what’s there to worry about? Only the slight matter of never having got around to divorcing Richard...

Part-time business manager Jules, who lives with husband Nick and their teenage children Ellie and Matt, said: “When I set up Tring Writer’s Circle nine years ago, I had no idea it would lead to this.

“The support from Avon for the latest book has been fantastic and I can’t wait to get the reaction from the readers.”

Jules is also press officer for the Romantic Novelist Association, working alongside best-selling authors, Katie Fforde, Nicola Cornick, Elaine Everest and Eileen Ramsay to promote romantic fiction in the UK.

Her writing style has been described as similar to that of Sophie Kinsella and Helen Fielding and her previous novels are Talk to Me, From Italy with Love and From Paris with Love.

Escape to the Riviera will be on sale in WH Smith, Waterstones and Foyles as well as online.
