Detectives investigating a sexual assault in Hemel Hempstead are appealing for witnesses and information.

It has been reported that at around 8.30am yesterday (Wednesday 10 March) a teenage girl was assaulted on a footpath between Woodland Close and Crouchfield.

She was physically uninjured, but was left shaken and is being supported by officers.

Officers are looking to trace a white man, aged in his 20s, around 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build, with brown hair, who was wearing a blue tracksuit.

He was seen in the area at the time and could assist with enquiries.

Detective Constable Tom Hassall, of the Local Crime Unit, said: “This was a distressing incident and one which we are taking very seriously.

“The girl has been left understandably shaken and now I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone that has information about this to come forward.

“Additionally, if you have any dashcam footage or ring doorbell footage covering the area around Gravel Hill Terrace, Woodland Avenue, Beechfield Road or Crouchfield between 7.30am and 9.00am yesterday morning then please get in touch.
