Queensway House is a care home registered to provide accommodation and nursing care for up to 80 residents, offering first-class care for over 65s. Located off Jupiter Drive in Hemel Hempstead, it offers a range of services including respite, residential, dementia and palliative care.

Residents benefit from delightful spacious private rooms with ensuite facilities which the team personalise, whether it’s painting walls in colour schemes of their choice, putting up shelves or pictures or bringing their favourite furniture. This level of service adds to the ‘home from home’ feel that Queensway House provides for its residents.

Independent activities, hobbies and day-to-day tasks can boost an individuals’ self-confidence and as part of the person-centered care, Queensway House caters for each individual. Residents are encouraged, should they wish, to take part or learn and develop new skills with the extensive activities on offer. The team takes pride in arranging special activities, including birthdays or special milestones, religious celebrations, national days of celebration and events.

It is a very happy place to be, giving everyone a sense that the service we provide is how you would want your loved ones to be treated. We are very proud of our team and have built good relations within the local community,” says Regional Support Manager Lisa Strevens.

Ann, a resident at Queensway House, commented: “My son did thorough research and got really good reports of this place. Having got over the initial thought of losing my freedom when I had to move, I now know I would not want to be anywhere else than here. There is a lot to be said for having company, I have made some great friends and have a laugh every day.”
