Coronavirus latest: fall in Dacorum's Covid figures in last 24 hours

Dacorum has recorded just 14 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours of data released this afternoon (February 16).

The total for the borough is now 7,944 according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

The incidence rate over the last 7 days has decreased from 113.7 per 100,000 to 105.3 per 100,000 population (the period represented is the 7 days ending February 11).

On February 9, the incidence rate was 190 per 100,000 population (the 7 days ending February 4).

There have been 136 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 72,610.

Here's a daily breakdown of the figures in Dacorum for the last seven days:

> February 9 - 17 cases

> February 10 - 24 cases

> February 11 - 12 cases

> February 12 - 46 cases

> February 13 - 18 cases

> February 14 - 11 cases

> February 15 - 24 cases.

According to Public Health England there were 189 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, February 9, and 14 were on mechanical ventilation beds.

There have been three Covid-related deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is now 301. There have been 12 deaths recorded in Hertfordshire, the total is now 2,310 - according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 10,625 and now stands at 4,058,468. The number of deaths has risen by 799 to 118,195.

As of February 15, in the UK, 15,576,107 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 546,165 had received their second dose.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Sunday, February 14, and 5pm on Monday, February 15.
