Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records over 20 new confirmed cases today

There have been 23 new positive Covid-19 tests in Dacorum over the last 24 hours.

The total for the borough is now 2,051, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There have been 212 new cases today in Hertfordshire, the total is now 18,264.

There have been no new deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 114. There have been four new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 1,006, according to Public Health England.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 14,879 and now stands at 1,674,134.​

The number of deaths has risen by 414 to 60,113.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Tuesday, December 1, and 5pm on Wednesday, December 2.

The figures come from the Government website which is available for the public to view here.Dacorum is now in tier two (high alert) along with the rest of Hertfordshire. According to government advice, in tier two:

> You must not socialise with anyone you do not live with or who is not in your support bubble in any indoor setting;

> You must not socialise in a group of more than six people outside, including in a garden or a public space – this is called the ‘rule of 6’;

> Businesses and venues can continue to operate, in a Covid-secure manner, other than those which remain closed by law, such as nightclubs;

> Pubs and bars must close, unless operating as restaurants. Hospitality venues can only serve alcohol with substantial meals;

> Hospitality businesses selling food or drink for consumption on their premises are required to provide table service only and stop taking orders after 10pm;

> Places of worship remain open but you must not socialise with people from outside of your household or support bubble.
