Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records over 20 new confirmed cases in 24 hours

Dacorum has recorded just 24 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours of data released this afternoon (February 15).

The total for the borough is now 7,930 according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

The incidence rate over the last 7 days has decreased from 124.1 per 100,000 to 113.7 per 100,000 population(the period represented is the 7 days ending February 10).

On February 8, the incidence rate was 206.8 per 100,000 population (the 7 days ending February 3).

There have been 168 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 72,474.

Here's a daily breakdown of the figures in Dacorum for the last seven days:

> February 8 - 24 cases

> February 9 - 17 cases

> February 10 - 24 cases

> February 11 - 12 cases

> February 12 - 46 cases

> February 13 - 18 cases

> February 14 - 11 cases.

According to Public Health England there were 189 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, February 9, and 14 were on mechanical ventilation beds.

The Covid-related deaths in Dacorum have been revised down by one, and the total is now 298. The deaths were revised down by two in Hertfordshire, the total is now 2,298 - according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 9,765 and now stands at 4,047,843. The number of deaths has risen by 230 to 117,396.

As of February 14, in the UK, 15,300,151 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 539,630 had received their second dose.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Saturday, February 13, and 5pm on Sunday, February 14.
