Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 267 new cases over the weekend

Dacorum and Hertfordshire are in Tier 4

Dacorum has recorded 267 new positive Covid-19 cases over the weekend.

The total for the borough is now 4,669, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

The incidence rate over the last 7 days is 610.6 per 100,000 population (the period represented is the 7 days ending December 30).

The total number of cases in Hertfordshire is now 42,813.

According to Public Health England there were 285 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust on Wednesday, December 30, and 18 were on mechanical ventilation beds.

There have been two new deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 140, and there have been 10 new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 1,195 - according to Public Health England.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases is 2,654,779 and the number of deaths is now 75,024.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
