Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 16 new confirmed cases in 24 hours

There have been 16 new positive Covid-19 tests in Dacorum in the last 24 hours, today's data has revealed this evening.
The total for the borough is now 1,141, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
There are now 9,393 cases in Hertfordshire.

There has been one new deaths of a patient testing positive for Covid-19 in Dacorum. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic of people who had a positive test result for COVID-19 and died within 28 days of the first positive test in Dacorum is now 100, according to Public Health England.
There have been 830,998 lab-confirmed cases in the UK, rising by 20,530.
The latest R number is estimated at 1.2 to 1.4 with a daily growth rate range of 3% to 6%
The number of Covid-19 associated UK deaths has been recorded as 44,571, rising by 224 - according to Public Health England.

Hide AdNationally, the death toll has been 'recalculated' by officials. The new count is based on a new definition of who has died from Covid-19.
Previously, people in England who died at any stage following a positive test, regardless of the cause of their death, were counted in the figures.
However, there is now a cut off point of 28 days from the first laboratory-confirmed positive COVID test.
The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

Hide AdThe new figures were recorded between 5pm on Wednesday, October 21, and Thursday, October 22.
