Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 12 new confirmed cases

Dacorum has recorded just 12 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours of data released yesterday evening (February 11).
The total for the borough is now 7,831 according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Hide AdThe incidence rate over the last 7 days has decreased from 167.3 per 100,000 to 157.7 per 100,000 (the period represented is the 7 days ending February 6).
On February 4, the incidence rate was 263 per 100,000 population (the 7 days ending January 30).
There have been 197 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 71,696.

Hide AdAccording to Public Health England there were 189 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, February 9, and 14 were on mechanical ventilation beds.
There have been two new Covid-related deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is now 293. There were another nine new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 2,260 - according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).
Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 13,494 and now stands at 3,998,655. The number of deaths has risen by 678 to 115,529.
As of February 10, in the UK, 13,509,108 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 524,447 had received their second dose.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Tuesday, February 9, and 5pm on Wednesday, February 10.
