Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 10 new confirmed cases today

There have been 10 new positive Covid-19 tests in Dacorum in the last 24 hours.

The total for the borough is now 1,230, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There have been 174 new cases today in Hertfordshire, the total is now 10,172.

There has been no new deaths of a patient testing positive for Covid-19 in Dacorum. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic of people who had a positive test result for COVID-19 and died within 28 days of the first positive test in Dacorum is 101, according to Public Health England.

There have been 917,575 lab-confirmed cases in the UK, rising by 22,885.

The latest R number is estimated at 1.2 to 1.4 with a daily growth rate range of 3% to 6%

The number of Covid-19 associated UK deaths has been recorded as 45,365, rising by 367 - according to Public Health England.

Nationally, the death toll has been 'recalculated' by officials. The new count is based on a new definition of who has died from Covid-19.

Previously, people in England who died at any stage following a positive test, regardless of the cause of their death, were counted in the figures.

However, there is now a cut off point of 28 days from the first laboratory-confirmed positive COVID test.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Sunday, October 25, and Monday, October 26.
