A very special Christmas visit brings festive cheer

Barchester’s Iris Court care home, in Hitchin, got in the Christmas spirit by welcoming the much-loved therapy ponies Pixie & Pickles in for a special Christmas visit that brought festive cheer to residents and staff alike.
Dressed in their charming Christmas Coats Pixie and Pickles spent the afternoon meeting residents, sharing gentle interactions and creating heart- warming moments filled with smiles and laughter.
General Manager Tash Begum said: “Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year and our fantastic residents love to get festive so we’ve pulled out all the stops. It is so lovely to see them all getting into the Christmas spirit, it’s definitely our favourite time of year.”
