Local farm turns into a winter wonderland, as Buckinghamshire’s iconic Christmas experience returns

It’s nearly the most wonderful time of the year and for many of us it’s time to book in our annual meet and greet with the Big Man himself.

Local family favourite Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park is bringing back its beloved Christmas experience, from Saturday 29 November until Christmas Eve, hosting Father Christmas and his team of elves in a magical event the whole family can enjoy.

The experience starts with a warm welcome at the Christmas entrance hut, where guests can warm up next to a cosy fire pit (you can even toast marshmallows!) and meet the cheeky Head Elf. Have a quick sit in the fabulous farm style sleigh before heading off to the most important meeting of the day, with Father Christmas himself!

During his stay at Hogshaw Farm, Father Christmas receives guests in his cosy red tractor, ensuring a private and exclusive visit with each family. He’ll reveal whose names are on the nice (or naughty!) list, listen to your Christmas wishes, and then pose for precious pictures. Afterwards, jump into the snowball pits, or why not have a go at antler toss?

The Christmas Experience at Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park also includes a chance for children to make their own unique blend of magical Reindeer Food for Christmas Eve, plant a mini Christmas tree to take home and grow for future years, and decorate a gingerbread treat. To top it all off, kids can also choose an extra special Christmas present from the Elves’ Toy Workshop!

A ticket to the event also includes full entry for the day, to enjoy all the regular fun at the farm, including meeting the herd of reindeer. Get up-close with a variety of rare breed farm animals, enjoy the goat walkthrough, book in for the free birds of prey display and visit unusual wildlife such as Eurasian Lynx and endangered Scottish Wildcats.

If you want to extend the magic of your visit, Hogshaw Farm has stunning Nordman Fir trees available to choose! And if one trip just isn’t enough, come back to the farm to buy a Christmas tree and get FREE entry, all day.

Katherine Preston, from Hogshaw Farm, said: “We’re big believers in showing our guests the best of British rare breed farm animals and wildlife, and it’s a brilliant setting for a Christmas experience.

“There’s no better place to meet Father Christmas than in a cosy setting, surrounded by gorgeous countryside, where you can meet friendly animals, toast marshmallows and enjoy some free range fun to start your Christmas. Hogshaw Farm is where the best Christmas memories are made!”
