The work of the winners from Berkhamsted Rotary Club's Young Photographer Competition will be on exhibition at Open Door this month.

The winners of the competition, which was open to young people aged seven to 17 who live in Dacorum, were announced by Berkhamsted Rotary in March, and now their work will be on display in the town.

Open Door is a community and arts space on Berkhamsted high street where you can be active, creative and social, whatever your circumstances.

The Berkhamsted Rotary Young Photographers Exhibition runs from Monday, May 17, until Saturday, May 29, entry is free and you can visit between 10.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

A spokesperson for Open Door said: "We are really excited to be hosting a fabulous exhibition at Open Door this month - The Rotary Club's Young Photographer Exhibition."

"Come and view the breath-taking collection of winning images from this year's Young Photographer competition, which had the theme of 'Wild Nature'."

One of the featured images will be the 'Nightwatchman' taken by Tamsin Hall, a winner in the 11-13 category.

She said: "This photo was taken at the British Wildlife Centre in Surrey. I wanted to take a picture of this owl because I loved its beautiful feathers and I thought that the plants behind it would make a great background."

Open Door offer a range of activities, from workshops and exhibitions, to volunteering opportunities and other ways to make a difference. Or you can just come and have a cup of tea and a chat. The charity's aim is to tackle social inequality and isolation

The café at Open Door will be opening from Monday, May 17, you can pop in between 10.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Saturday.
