The show is the culmination of an intensive week which has seen youngsters rehearse songs, dances and scenes ready to perform for a live audience, with tickets still available for Saturday’s performance.

For the first time this year, HHTC has also introduced an under-18 crew, giving young people the chance to learn about the work that goes on behind the scenes.

They have been getting hands-on experience of stage management, calling cues, organising props and operating lighting and sound before putting their new skills into practice during the performance.

Director Zoe Mackie said: “It’s incredible to see how much our young people achieve in such a short space of time.

“This year we’ve also been able to give young people who are interested in the technical side of theatre the chance to get involved. Our under-18 crew have thrown themselves into everything and are every bit as important to the production as the cast on stage.

“We’d love to see a packed Boxmoor Playhouse on Saturday to celebrate everything these talented young people have achieved.”

The Addams Family Young@Part follows Wednesday Addams as she falls in love with a young man from a respectable family, leading to one memorable evening when the two families meet.

The show will be performed at the Boxmoor Playhouse, St John’s Road, Hemel Hempstead, on Saturday 15 August.

Tickets are still available, priced from £10, and can be booked at www.hhtheatreco.com/whats-on
