The Marlowes shopping centre welcomes families to a summer of fun, play and entertainment
The Marlowes Shopping Centre in Hemel Hempstead has recently welcomed two exciting new leisure attractions, Wonder Village and Continue Arcades, giving local families even more affordable ways to have fun together during the school holidays.
The two new arrivals have added a fresh dimension to The Marlowes' leisure offering, with Wonder Village providing immersive imaginative play for younger children and Continue Arcades bringing an extensive selection of arcade entertainment for children, families and adults alike.
Together, the new attractions offer families even more reasons to make a day of their visit to The Marlowes, combining shopping, food and entertainment under one roof.
Located in Unit 2 on North Mall of The Marlowes shopping centre, Wonder Village is an immersive, child-sized role-play village designed for children aged up to eight.
The attraction features a range of themed spaces including a café, vet, theatre, salon, post office, police station and farm shop, allowing children to explore different real-life roles through imaginative and open-ended play.
With 90-minute sessions available, children can move freely between the different areas, creating their own stories and adventures while developing creativity, confidence, communication and social skills.
Sessions are priced from £12.50 for one child, with sibling discounts available for two or three children, while adults and babies under one are admitted free.
Wonder Village is a particularly welcome addition for families looking for an alternative to traditional soft play, offering screen-free, hands-on entertainment in a purpose-designed indoor environment.
For older children, teenagers and grown-ups who are young at heart, Continue Arcades has brought its free-play arcade experience to The Marlowes shopping centre.
Situated by the entrance of North Mall, Continue Arcades features a wide variety of games and activities, including arcade classics, pinball, racing games, shooters, pool and air hockey.
The free-play format means visitors can enjoy the games throughout their session without having to continually pay for individual plays, making it an appealing option for families looking for an entertaining day out.
There is also food and drink available, including hot dogs, pick & mix, unlimited popcorn and frozen drinks, while the venue also caters for birthday parties, group celebrations and events.
Continue Arcades' arrival also brings an element of nostalgia for parents, grandparents and adults who can enjoy classic arcade favourites alongside the next generation.
The arrival of Wonder Village and Continue Arcades reflects the continuing evolution of The Marlowes as a destination for the whole family.
With both attractions offering something different, families can now enjoy imaginative play for younger children, arcade entertainment for older children and adults, as well as the centre's existing choice of shops, cafés and restaurants.
With the school holidays providing the perfect opportunity to try something new, The Marlowes is pleased to offer local families even more choice when it comes to affordable days out.
Whether it's stepping into the shoes of a vet or shopkeeper at Wonder Village, competing for the high score at Continue Arcades, enjoying a meal together or browsing the shops, there are now even more ways to spend time together at The Marlowes.
Wonder Village is located at Unit 2, The Marlowes Centre, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1DX.
Continue Arcades is located at Units 31–33, The Marlowes Centre, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1DX.
