The Marlowes Shopping Centre launches school uniform donation drive to support local families
The Marlowes Shopping Centre is calling on the local community to help children start the new school year with confidence by donating good-quality school uniform and essential school items as part of its new School Uniform Donation Drive.

Shoppers are invited to donate clean, good-quality school essentials at a dedicated collection point within the centre located outside Baggage World. The initiative aims to support families facing financial pressures ahead of the new school term, ensuring every child has access to the clothing and equipment they need to thrive at school.
The centre is welcoming donations of:

School uniforms
School shoes
School bags
PE kits
Coats
All donated items should be clean and in good condition.
With many households continuing to feel the impact of the rising cost of living, the campaign offers local families practical support at one of the most expensive times of the year.
At the end of the summer holidays, families in need will be invited to visit the Marlowes shopping centre and discreetly choose the school uniform items they require, completely free of charge. The initiative is designed to remove financial barriers and help children begin the new academic year feeling confident, comfortable and ready to learn.

Vicki Workman, Business Manager at the Marlowes said: "Every child deserves to walk into the classroom feeling confident and prepared, regardless of their family's circumstances. We know that buying new school uniforms can place a significant strain on household budgets, so we're proud to be bringing our community together to support local families in a practical and meaningful way.”
"Whether it's a school jumper that's been outgrown, a pair of shoes with plenty of life left in them, or a winter coat that's no longer needed, every donation can make a real difference. We hope our shoppers will get behind this initiative and help ensure every child has the best possible start to the new school year."
The Marlowes Shopping Centre is encouraging anyone with quality school items they no longer need to donate what they can and help make a positive impact within the local community.
