Saddle up! Ware care home invites community to country-themed summer fete

A care home in Ware is inviting the community to pull on their cowboy boots and join in the fun at a country-themed summer fete.
On Wednesday 29th July, from 2pm-5pm, Care UK’s Snowdrop House, on Baldock Street, will be opening its doors for an afternoon of live entertainment and family-friendly activities – with a country twist.
To get into the party spirit,visitors can enjoy live music from country singers Orchard Duo and will have the opportunity to take part in traditional games including pin the tail on the horse, tin can alley, hook-a-duck. There will also be a host of community stalls to browse, as well as a raffle for those wanting to try their luck.
Guests will be treated to a tasty, Western-style barbecue, specially prepared by the home’s chef. They will also be able to take a tour around the care home, which offers facilities including a cinema, hair and beauty salon and café, and will have the opportunity to meet the team and chat with the Home Manager, Clare Crow.

“Our annual summer fete is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to come together, enjoy some great entertainment and see what life here is all about. Residents have been busy decorating the home in preparation for the event, and everyone’s really excited about our country theme.
“We're proud to be part of the Ware community and always enjoy opening our doors for events like this. We hope our neighbours will round up their family and friends and join us for the celebrations!”
