Hemel mums bring imagination to life with brand new Wonder Village

A dream that began around a kitchen table has become a reality for two local mums, who are opening an exciting new role play experience for children in Hemel Hempstead this weekend.
Wonder Village, an immersive role play village designed for children aged up to 8, opens its doors on Saturday 18 July at Unit 2, The Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead. The pop up experience will run for 11 weeks, giving families the chance to step into a miniature world where children's imaginations can take the lead.
Created by local mums Charlotte Haggart and Hannah Capocci-Hunt, Wonder Village has been designed to encourage imaginative play, creativity and confidence. Children can explore a collection of beautifully themed role play spaces including a café, theatre, construction site, farm shop, post office, police station, vet and salon, creating their own adventures as they play.
As mothers themselves, Charlotte and Hannah wanted to create something that offered more than just entertainment.
"Children learn so much through imaginative play," said Charlotte. "We wanted to create a space where they could completely immerse themselves in their own ideas, build confidence, make friends and simply enjoy being children."
The pair have spent months designing, building and preparing every detail of the village while juggling family life, with Charlotte often working alongside her baby and Hannah balancing the demands of running a business with raising young children.
"We've poured our hearts into Wonder Village," said Hannah. "There have been plenty of late nights, early mornings and family members helping wherever they could, but seeing it all come together has made every moment worthwhile."
The village will host stay and play sessions throughout the summer holidays, with party bookings also available at the Hemel Hempstead location.
The founders hope Wonder Village will become a place where local families can create special memories together while giving children the freedom to explore, imagine and play without screens.
