Local businesses on show at housing development in Kings Langley
Cala Homes has launched its first Showhome of Support initiative at its brand-new development at Edmund Park in Kings Langley as part of its Community Pledge.
The initiative has seen the major homebuilder work with local artisan retailers and independent creators to help accessorise its new 4-bedroom Lavender & 4-bedroom Twinberry showhome to launch at Edmund Park, giving independents a unique platform to showcase their products to residents and potential homebuyers.

A selection of items were carefully curated and sourced from Kings Langley, and the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire.
For the kitchen, there is locally made honey from Abbots Langley, a gardening society which hosts a large variety of events throughout the year. There is also a bag of decaf coffee beans from Campbell & Syme, and an elegant bottle of Pinot Noir Montes Alpha red wine from nearby delicatessen and wine shop: Dalling & Co.

For the living space, there is a local-inspired scented candle from Nelly Twig Candles, a local business based in Kings Langley.
Bathroom treats include handcrafted vegan and palm oil free soap and a bamboo dish from Elstree Soap, an independent Hertfordshire business.
The spacious bedrooms have been designed with family in mind, with one displaying Leigh Lambert’s ‘Crash Sketch’ from Aura Fine Art studio.
There is also a soft toy from local family run business, The Leveret, who specialise in children and baby clothes, toys and accessories.

Also on display is one of Sarah Bryan Designs ceramic handmade pieces, the Bolon Moon Maquette mini, expertly crafted for the modern home.
Across the home, every piece not only enhances the style and comfort of the interiors but also highlights the creativity and fine craftsmanship found throughout Hertfordshire.
Each business featured in the showhome has been highlighted with signage throughout the property and will also be profiled on Cala’s website as part of the ongoing campaign to promote supporting locals.
Stala Thomson, Sales & Marketing Director at Cala Chiltern, said: “We are very excited to bring our Showhome of Support initiative to Edmund Park. It’s a terrific way to champion

local businesses, and our new showhome in Kings Langley is full of unique touches thanks to these fantastic creators. From artwork and candles to ceramics and accessories, the showhome reflects the character of Hertfordshire.”
