Iris court care home brings the local community together

Staff, residents, relatives and the local community came together at Iris Court Care Home to enjoy an open day that was held at the home on April 25th 2026.
Iris Court Care Home hosted a variety of activities throughout the day, for there Glamourous Hollywood theme, of live musical entertainment, staff, residents and guests wore their best Hollywood outfit for the day, and the home enjoyed visits from the local community and PCSO’S who took part in the classic fundraising game “ stocks and sponges” which helped raise funds for Barchesters Charitable foundation, which were enjoyed by everyone who came to the event.
Staff at Iris Court made everyone feel welcome and were delighted to see different generations having fun together. Visitors enjoyed plenty of refreshments, such as Canapes and prosecco, prepared by the catering team, who were hard at work making sure that a great time was had by all – it really was a team effort!
