Herts roller derby take bronze in the Five Nations
Herts Roller Derby had their last game of the Five Nations 2026 season against London Dockland Fight Railway last weekend.

The Five Nations Roller Derby championship is Europe’s largest interleague flat track roller derby tournament, which sees teams from all over the UK play each other throughout the year.
Roller Derby is a fast-paced sport played on quad roller skates. The game is played on an oval track in two 30-minute halves, with 4 blockers and 1 jammer from each team playing on track at a time. Jammers score points by lapping opposing blockers, and the team with the most points wins.

Herts Roller Derby played against Docklands Fight Railway in the nail biting final game of the Five Nations championship. The game was part of a double header hosted by Surrey Rollers in Haywards Heath on 28th June.
Herts pushed hard throughout the game, with jammers and blockers fighting both the heat and London's strong walls. Herts won the game with a final score of 233 to 192, and were thrilled to take home the bronze and secure their spot in the tier for next year's Five Nations Championship.
The team will take a well deserved break over August and will return to training in September, alongside their next rookie course where new skaters will learn the skills they need to get involved! Join them at their free taster session on the first Sunday in September to see what it’s all about.
