The Five Nations Roller Derby championship is Europe’s largest interleague flat track roller derby tournament, which sees teams from all over the UK play each other throughout the year. Herts Roller Derby currently play in Tier 4 with the goal this season to maintain their position in the top half of the league table.

Herts Roller Derby played against Surrey Hart Breakers on the 30th May in an exciting game hosted by Essex Roller Derby in Chelmsford. Despite the heat and being several players down Herts gave it their all and kept Surrey fighting for their victory, with a final score of 182-65 to Surrey.

Their next game will be the final game of the Five Nations 2026 T4WS season. Herts RD will be taking on London Docklands Fight Railway on 28th June as part of a double header at the Dolphin Leisure Centre in Haywards Heath.

Roller Derby is a fast-paced sport played on quad roller skates. The game is played on an oval track in two 30-minute halves, with 4 blockers and 1 jammer from each team playing on track at a time. Jammers score points by lapping opposing blockers, and the team with the most points wins.
