Hertfordshire home visits team takes home customer care award
THE team at Specsavers Home Visits Hertfordshire are celebrating after winning an award for excellence in customer care – and being shortlisted for another for the overall care they provide to people across the county.
The locally owned and run business, led by partners Ophthalmic Director Dylan Desai and Customer Service Director Jayne Rawlinson, was honoured at the recent annual Specsavers Awards for Excellence.

They won the Specsavers Award for Excellence in Domiciliary Customer Care, recognising them among the very best home visits teams across the UK, and were also named among the final three for Total Care Team of the Year – an award spanning all Specsavers services, including high street stores, audiology, home visits and Newmedica.
The annual awards, held in Birmingham, celebrate the achievements and professionalism of Specsavers teams across the UK and Ireland.

‘We’re incredibly proud to have been recognised in this way,’ says Dylan. ‘As a team, we’re always striving to be the best we can be every day, so to win this award, and be shortlisted for another, against such strong opposition is a real honour for us.
‘We know that being let into our customers' homes is a real privilege, so we always work hard to deliver the best possible experience alongside high-quality eye care.’
Jayne adds: ‘Everything we do is centred around our customers and the communities we serve across Hertfordshire. We work closely with families and care providers to ensure our customers feel supported, so to have also been in the final three for the business-wide Total Care Award is a huge accolade for us.’
Specsavers Home Visits Hertfordshire provides essential eye care to people across the county who are unable to visit a store unaccompanied, including those living in private homes, care and residential homes and sheltered accommodation.

The fully mobile team offers comprehensive services including eye tests, prescribing, and dispensing glasses, and delivering glasses directly to customers’ doors. The service is free to those who are eligible for free NHS eye tests.
For many customers, a home visit can play a vital role in maintaining independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
