Hertfordshire care home group win at prestigious awards
On Friday 26th June the 15th annual Hertfordshire Care Awards, organised by the Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA), took place at Hunton Park Hotel. The event brought together nearly 400 care staff, providers, and supporters to celebrate the fabulous work they do in adult social care.

Quantum Care, who operate 22 care homes in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex took home two first place awards at this year’s event.
Colin Lines, Maintenance Operative at Mountbatten Lodge care home in Hemel Hempstead, was presented with the Compassion Award for Residential Care. Colin was recognised by the judges for his exceptional compassion, kindness and natural ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, making a lasting difference to the lives of those he supports every day.

Although Colin was unable to attend the awards ceremony, his award was collected on his behalf by Sam Pinto, Housekeeping Manager at Mountbatten Lodge.
The Treetops Namaste Care Team at Belmont View care home in Hoddesdon also celebrated success, winning the Most Innovative Residential Care Team Award. The judges recognised the team’s pioneering approach to dementia care through the Namaste Care programme, which has transformed the wellbeing and quality of life of residents living with advanced dementia.
Guests at the glitzy event enjoyed a dinner and live entertainment from Shelby Street. They were also given messages of congratulations from celebrities including Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd, Gavin and Stacey’s Mathew Horne and Craig Revel Horwood.
Debbie Gilard, Quantum Care’s Head of Corporate Services, said: “It was wonderful to see both Colin and the Namaste team recognised as winners this year. Their dedication, compassion and commitment to the people they support is truly outstanding, and it is fantastic to see their hard work celebrated at this year’s awards.”
