Hemel parents and West Herts College students among thousands to help shape Government’s plans for Under 16s social media ban
Hundreds of local families contacted Hemel MP David Taylor as part of a national consultation on the proposed legislation.

Mr Taylor said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who shared their insights with me, helping me press the Government for ambitious protections for young people."
“This is about putting children’s wellbeing first and giving parents the support they need. I’m pleased to see the Labour Government is taking action.”
He added: “Parents and West Herts College Students across Hemel have been clear - the current situation isn’t working.
“Too many young people are being exposed to harmful online content. The proposed changes reflect what many local families have been calling for.”
In the national consultation, which attracted 116,000 responses, nine in ten parents backed this action.
