Hemel Hempstead Probus Club – 'Crossing Africa on Foot'

Our next meeting is on Thursday, July 16 which will be held as usual at St Johns Church Hall, Station Road, Hemel Hempstead HP1 1JY.

On this occasion we will have a talk by Fran Sandham, entitled 'Crossing Africa on Foot'. Lecturer and freelance author, Fran was also an editor at Rough Guides for several years.

The idea of crossing Africa on foot seemed in many people's minds to be an exceptionally difficult feat, as how many people had actually done it?  So, Fran decided to walk every step of the way from one coast of Africa to the other, and completely alone. 

Doors will open as usual at 10.00 am with coffee served, the meeting will start at 10.30 am and finish at around 12.00 noon.

Anyone is welcome to attend the monthly meetings and outings, whether as a Member or as a guest.
