Duck into Willows for some quacking good fun
One of Hertfordshire’s leading farm parks is launching a brand new event for families this school holiday.
The 500 acre farm has a quack-packed six day programme of activities running until Sunday 12 April.
Andrew Wolfe, director at Willows Activity Farm, says: “Much-loved CBeebies star and our resident farm character, Jemima Puddleduck, will be hosting our spring celebrations in the second week of the school holidays.”
Visitors can look forward to meeting newborn lambs, chicks, rabbits, piglets, kid goats, and new baby donkey, Oatley, plus for the first time come face to face with ducklings at the farm. There will also be a Meet and Greet with Jemima while Jemima’s Egg Hunt will be taking place in the farm’s Garden.
Andrew adds: “We are also thrilled to welcome back children’s entertainer and magician, Joe Banana, who will be casting a spell over our guests with shows throughout the Jamboree.”
Easter fun hunters can also look forward to a choc-a-bloc schedule of cracking entertainment including the Easter Grotto featuring 12 unique springtime displays, spring-themed crafts, pig racing, lamb bottle feeding demonstrations and the return of the undercover sandpit.
Plus resident shepherd, Tuck Hegarty, will be putting Willows’ working sheepdogs, Jess and Biggles, through their paces in the daily Dog and Duck show as they round up six Runner ducks in the show arena.
Andrew adds: “In addition to an eggs-cellent programme of spring celebrations, we also have all the usual Willows farm activities for visitors to look forward to including the PETER RABBIT™ Adventure Playground, Adventure Golf, Peter Rabbit shows throughout the day, The Farmyard animals, funfair rides and Tristan the Runaway Tractor.”
Jemima’s Jamboree runs from Tuesday 7 April until Sunday 12 April. Tickets include all activities, shows and adventure play and can be purchased in advance online with savings on family tickets.
