David Taylor MP welcomes the start of the Great British Summer Savings
Families across Hemel Hempstead are set to benefit from lower costs on days out this summer, as Labour’s Great British Summer Savings gets underway.

The scheme will see VAT cut to 5% on a range of family activities, including children’s meals, helping to make popular local attractions more affordable during the school holidays.
In Hemel Hempstead, families can expect savings at well-loved destinations such as Cineworld Jarman Park, DJ’s Play, and nearby Whipsnade Zoo, making it easier to enjoy time together without the cost adding up.
The Great British Summer Savings is part of Labour's wider support for families, helping put more money back in families' pockets alongside free breakfast clubs and expanded childcare. It will also support local businesses across Hemel Hempstead by helping more families enjoy days out, meals and activities in the local area this summer.
David Taylor, Labour MP for Hemel Hempstead, said: "I know how quickly a trip to the cinema or soft play can add up. Labour's Great British Summer Savings will help families in Hemel and the Villages enjoy more of what summer has to offer for less."
“This is about easing the pressure on household budgets while supporting our fantastic local businesses at the same time.”
