David Taylor MP welcomes New Youth Hub for Dacorum
Dacorum is set to get a new Youth Hub.
The new Hub will help young people access training, employment and education opportunities.
Today's announcement is part of Labour's commitment that every young person should be able to access support with their future career within one hour of where they live, backed by £2.5 billion of investment in young people's futures.

In Hemel Hempstead, young people have paid the price for 14 years of Conservative failure that weakened careers services, cut youth provision and narrowed routes into work and training. Our Labour government is taking action to rebuild opportunity for the next generation, strengthening careers advice, expanding access to skills and creating new pathways into good jobs so every young person has the support they need to succeed.
That is why Labour is delivering a new network of Youth Hubs, bringing together careers guidance, training opportunities and specialist support under one roof. Our new Youth Hub in Dacorum will help ensure local young people can access the advice, skills and opportunities they need to build successful futures.
The new Youth Hub is part of a wider package of support for young people across the UK, backed by £2.5 billion of investment in apprenticeships, job training and mental health support.
David Taylor MP said:
"Our new Youth Hub will mean that young people across Hemel and the Villages can access specialist support, training and guidance closer to home, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
This Hub will help ensure that every young person has the support they need to take the next step, pursue rewarding careers and be part of building a stronger future for our community and country."
Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden said:
"We want to make sure young people are getting real, personalised support, that’s not one size fits all. I’ve seen how it can change lives.
