David Taylor MP to host public meeting on anti-social behaviour in Hemel town centre
David Taylor, Member of Parliament for Hemel Hempstead, has announced a public meeting to address concerns regarding anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the town centre.

The event, scheduled for Friday 3rd July at 5:00pm, will bring together residents, business owners, and shop workers to speak directly with key stakeholders. Mr Taylor will be joined on the panel by Chief Inspector Paul Stanbridge (Hertfordshire Constabulary) and representatives of Dacorum Borough Council.
The meeting follows a series of reports from local residents and businesses who have cited ASB as a primary concern for the safety of the town’s heart.
Mr Taylor said: "Residents and shop workers have told me clearly: anti-social behaviour in the town centre is a real concern. We need to take action, and your voices must be at the heart of that. This meeting is about accountability and partnership. It is a chance to hear directly from the police and council, share your experiences, and help us shape the next steps to make Hemel a safer, more welcoming place.
“I know anti-social behaviour and crime are major concerns locally—they account for around 10% of my office’s enquiries, with over 200 residents supported to date. I regularly raise these issues on your behalf with Dacorum Police, including in my frequent meetings with Chief Inspector Paul Stanbridge at Hemel station. I will continue lobbying the Home Office and working with local partners to ensure Hemel gets the resources it deserves. Record officer numbers mean more patrols and arrests, and I am pushing for Respect Orders and facial recognition vans to target repeat offenders and keep our town centre safe."
The meeting will include updates from police and the council on partnership working, and a dedicated Q&A session.
