Apsley darts team raises over £5,000 for charity
The White Lion in Apsley recent put on. We held a 12-hour darts marathon where we managed to raise £5,567.30 for Macmillan Cancer Research in memory of those we’ve lost. 20 of us took part on the 4th of April. We started at 10:00 am and finished at 10:00PM, raising an incredible amount of money for a very worthy cause. Both members of the A & B team took part in the event of all ages.
We did a system of fines for hitting 140s, 10s, 26s and two trebles. We accumulated 150,000 points within 10 hours of chalking. The pub also donated 20% of cash earnings to the final pot as well as a raffle which raised £671.30. There were 6 180s over the day which resulted in a £20 donation.

In memory of Robert Bolithos Grandad and Uncle, George O’Dell father, Tom Davisons mum, Jem O’Dells double survivor mum and Andrew Minas, who sadly recently lost his battle.
